Goodbye Robin!… sniff.

It’s hard to believe but our massage therapist Robin is moving on.  The past three and half years (almost) seem to have just flown by.  I guess you can say it’s my fault…. I knew her days were numbered when I trained her to develop my X-rays. Because once I did that, her eyes began to sparkle…. she absolutely LOVED IT!!!

I had ignited an interest in her that she never knew she had.  Months later I enrolled her in training to become a Certified Chiropractic X-ray Technician.  And soon afterwards, she was taking all of my X-rays… and she loved it!  (So did I).

So, you’ll understand when she announced to me that she had decided go back to school to become a medical imaging specialist.

We are sad to lose Robin, but are happy that she is pursuing her passion.

Robin was a true utility player for us at Anchor Chiropractic.  Not only were her skilled hands as a massage therapist utilized to see patients through injury and help unwind the stresses of life, but, as I said, she was our “in house” X-ray Technician — taking and developing all the X-ray studies I needed.  Plus, she conducted all of our MyoVision scans, transcribed my Spinal Column Radio podcasts, was Maria’s understudy, laundered the massage linens, and was my “crazy idea” assistant.

Yep!… I’m going to miss her…. And I know all of you will too.

Robin’s last day is Friday, January 28, 2011.  I want to encourage you to drop by the office to say goodbye and to have one last massage with her.  As my gift to her, I will be giving her 100% of the massage proceeds that she generates this week. Call the office ASAP at (360) 297-8111 to make an appointment.

I also want to encourage you to leave her a comment below to wish her well.  This webpage post will act as our “digital card” to her and will stay up on our website for years to come.  I know she’ll appreciate it.

One thing I do feel good about though… is that the medical profession is going to inherit an imaging technician that is now On Fire for Chiropractic!

Dr. Lamar

P.S. Robin — I expect you to keep listening to Spinal Column Radio and drop by for adjustments when you are up our way. ;-)

Being your mom, I can’t exactly say I’ll miss you because we’ll always be in touch! But I can say I love you and wish you all the luck and happiness you deserve as you take this huge leap of faith into a new direction in your life! God bless you!

    Robin,
I’m so happpy to hear of your plans to og into the imaging field. My wife, Maggie, has been lead ultrasonographer for The Doctor’s Clinic for 26 years, and I’m sure she would be available to answer any questions you may have regarding classes or studies. She plans to retire in June, 2012, so keep that in mind for lfuture employment consideration.
By the way: whith you gone, who will keep Maria from sneaking into the back room to get another piece of fudge??
Study hard, get straight A’s, and
    YOU GO, GIRL!!!

    Dear Robin,

I can’t BELIEVE it’s been 3 and 1/2 years since you started at Anchor Chiropractic!!! Norman and I feel privileged to see your growth over these years–a young woman who has discovered her passion by following her heart–it gives us hope for the future, and complete joy in your accomplishments and your own future. I am sure you are destined for great things, and I do mean great: you know where you’re are going and you know how to get there–by keepin’ on keepin’ on with your sense of dedication and creativity. We will remember you in our prayers, and hope to see you again–when you drop in for an adjustment with Dr. Lamar–or when we find ourselves in need of a good “image” on x-ray film!

Much good luck, and God bless you in every way!!

    And love,

Kathy and Norman Butler (Norman is on an errand right now, or he would be speaking for himself!)

Had a great time taking the Staff out for Robin’s Goodbye Lunch. Maria, Erin, Robin, my wife Keri, and I had fun recalling “Robin Stories.” Of course, our lunch will also be a “Robin Story” because before my wife even had a chance to bite into her scrumptious Ahi Tacos, she was called away to help birth our baby goats at home!

Good Luck and God Bless You Robin. The past three and a half years were wonderful. Keep in touch. Vaya con Dios. (That means “Go with God” in Spanish ;-) )
